The Lullaby Project
In 2010, in my role as teaching artist and consultant for Carnegie Hall’s education programs, I devised a collaborative model that paired professional musicians with young families to create lullabies for their babies. With Carnegie Hall’s support, the project was launched and shared in hospitals, shelters, and correctional facilities in New York City. From those early experiments, the project has grown to include arts organizations, researchers, and communities all over the world.
