In addition to operas for babies, I have created various opera projects for general audiences. With American Opera Projects, I am presently developing One Drop, a three act opera based on a 1931 play by DuBose Heyward that examines the idea of whiteness in the rural South. A workshop reading was performed in November 2024 and can be viewed here. Other projects include Firesongs (Bare Opera, National Sawdust at Chelsea Factory, 2022); The German Refugee (2008); The Sandman (2002); Denmark Vesey (1990).
