What's in a balloon?

Here's another artist who uses creativity to transform the world around him. I've been lucky enough to get to know him and his work a little, as we prepare for a forum on the Somewhere Project, coming up on January 24 at Carnegie Hall. Yazmany Arboleda is a visual artist from Colombia whose work has been seen around the world. You can watch a Ted Talk about it by clicking here. Perhaps his most famous and provocative public art installation is "Monday Morning," which aims to disrupt urban communities around the world on their way to work by giving them colored balloons. For Yazmany, the balloons represent an imaginary vessel which can hold both individual and community beliefs. Yazmany will be conducting a small scale art project with those who attend the forum on January 24, so please join us!
